ATA Level 2 - Ramp and Transit Maintenance Training
Target Personnel: Maintenance Managers, Supervisors, Mechanics,
Technicians, Q/A Personnel.
Course Objectives: The student will have a working knowledge of
Mechanical, Electrical and Powerplant Systems & Avionics
System
As we present each ATA
Chapter in the classroom, the student will receive a review of the
aircraft systemsComponent Locations, Servicing, Minor Maintenance and
Troubleshooting that can be accomplished on through flight or transit
service within a 30 to 75 minute flight turnaround time frame.
In addition to performing the necessary turnaround servicing, general
safety precautions associated with potential hazards that could be
encountered during ramp and transit operations, are emphasized such as:
Engine intake
and exhaust areas,
APU exhaust,
Inadvertent control surface operation,
Thrust reversers,
400 Hz high voltage
precautions,
Transmitting RF energy during refueling and maintenance
activities,
Cautions and hazard avoidance associated with systems service
during in-transit maintenance,
As well as precautions to be
observed during towing, taxiing, push-back operations, and docking.
Through-flight
servicing features, as outlined in ATA Chapter 12. |
