ATA Level 3 - Line and Base Maintenance Training
Target Personnel: Personnel associated with Line and Base
Maintenance
Course Objectives: Upon completion of the course, the student will
have a working knowledge of Avionics, Mechanical, Electrical and Powerplant
Systems
System information
necessary to support in depth trouble-shooting as outlined in the
manufacturer's maintenance manuals;
All Course
Objectives contained in Level 1 and Level 2 courses and perform all Level
2 Ramp and Transit checks to the same level of proficiency;
Recognize
normal condition of components and systems during "B", "C",and "D" checks.
Use
Maintenance Manual & Fault Isolation Manual to determine the cause of
faults when given an: Uncleared PIREP, deferral, faults discovered during
routine maintenance, indicate appropriate action. |

Describe any
unique maintenance procedure or special equipment required during routine
maintenance, troubleshooting, removal or installation of any Line
Replaceable Unit or System;
Indicate which
LRUs must be removed and installed and/or adjustments when given a
diagnosed fault and indicate appropriate operational / functional check to
verify system operation.
